The View

After one week of visit at Shanghai, PRC (People Republic of China), I am blessed and did learned a lot from China. How Chinese make business and how they can become so successful in global trading. Also, some interesting facts of Shanghai.

The Economy Engine
Being the most advanced city of the country, Shanghai is where the world eyes on. They have the biggest GUCCI store in Asia at Nan Jing Road, the world's tallest finance centre - 上海环球金融中心, and lots more. Shanghai is also known as the eastern Paris. Basically Shanghai is a city where it generates the economy of the whole country, and it is also the main income of China's revenue.

The Bargain
Shopping experience is rated at 3.5/5. First, you can bargain at most of the local shops in any part of Shanghai just like any typical China's city. Second, various brands are available in Shanghai and there are even more local brands which offer unique design and style. For me, I bought a number of shirts and shoes. Not to deny, they all are imitation of Lacoste, Paul Smith, Crocs and Ralph Lauren. Taking example, a fellow tried to sell me a Lacoste at an original price of 100RMB(Ren Min Bi), but I had slashed the price to 45RMB. It's kinda cheap right? My biggest victory is a pair of Crocs enclosed shoes, which it was selling at 180RMB per pair, and I was managed to grab two at only 100RMB. Simply means I slashed from 360RMB to 100RMB. More than 70% striped down of the price. Place to shop is not as much as in Hong Kong or Thailand, that's why the rating comes down 1.5.

The People & The Crowd
If you think queuing up to grab an iPhone is long and exhausting, because you have not yet visit Shanghai EXPO. Let me tell you, news saying the queue of up to 8 hours seems to be a long queue and we might feel shocked abstractly. But you will never know how tiring and exhausting it is if you never queue up yourself. Personally, I queue up 3 hours for United Kingdom pavilion but seriously I do not think it worth. It is all about seeds inside the pavilion but nothing more. But I feel proud when entering Malaysia pavilion where I can get through immediately as I am the VIP. In expo, you will be treated as a VIP if your nationality belongs to the pavilion that you are going to visit.

The Courtesy
This is terrible. As I was paying my visit to the Oriental Pearl Tower on the second last day of my trip. The queue was long as usual, but the courtesy of the locals is very very terrible. They try to push, anyhow push those who are in front of them. They just do not give a damn knowing that it was already very squeeze. I happened to witness a very epic scene, where a kid was pushed and fell down in the middle of crowd. You know what the locals did? They continued to move forward and the kid experienced some stepping on him before he managed to get up. Now I understand the news why there were people died in the crowd, because they have been stepped over and the people just do not care!

The Trip

The Rapid-KL I mean this is Malaysia. Malaysia means I cannot ask for perfection? Probably this is an undeniable fact. KL sentral, the most complex and advanced transport network in Malaysia is somehow known for it's sound pollution which caused by the constructions nearby as well as the vehicle's' horn. What funny here is a signboard setting up in the station promoting "Greener environment, less pollution" Sound sarcastic? Well, maybe this is Malaysia, culture of the nation, known for it's national policy which does not make sense at everytime. Nevermind, I am not serving as a government servant, so it is neither any of my business.

The Shopping
KL has nothing much to do but only shopping! Yes babe, Sungei Wang, Berjaya Times Square, Lot 10, Mid Valley, 1 Utama, Pavilion and lots more! I was arrived about the right time, I could feel the joyful Chinese New Year ambiance surrounding the city as well as the stunning discount tag which caught every single sight of mine and stimulating the shopping spree in my body to pulsate at a even faster rate! Thanks Lord I was able to grab shirt that "glow" in the dark which I was awaiting for long time ago.

The Ice-Skating
Alright, this was my first time to ice-skate. Nothing to shy with, I fell down for seven times! Gosh, the ice-skating shoes with its narrow blade on the foot, applying physics theory which allow us to skate on the icy surface somehow require some skills as well. For those who have not try this out, give it a chance!

The Only True in The Fake
Loh Hong Khai, you are the only true in the fake. KL being a hyper crowded metropolis is known for its chaotic situation and for its' unsafe public security. This fact apply practically especially when I was visiting "Chi Chiong Gai". Every seller inside there is trying their best to hallucinate you and to buy their items. If you were not fluent in speaking Cantonese and not well equipped with certain "bargain" techniques, beware of your wallet, you are going to burn a big hole in it!

The Disappointment
One word - "Disappointed". She is getting unreasonable and insane. I was caught by a full anger at which I almost burst at her. I know I have certain level of tolerance, that's why I were holding back that time. She even got "Cindy-symptom", loves to criticise one of not using expensive and branded clothing. Isn't this rude? Time has changed her, and I hope time will change her back sometimes, to the original state of her. If this situation persists, we will not longer be friend anymore, we are living in two different world of mindset.

The Surprise
Oh my god, I met auntie Winnie which I had not meet for ages. Thanks Jesus, auntie Winnie is totally a perfect lady with a sweet smile and most importantly her hospitality that makes you feel warmth. Thanks auntie Winnie for pampering my starving stomach with lots of sumptuous delicious Hong Kong delicacies. Love ya auntie Winnie and do keep in touch in advance.
