Catching Up

Sorry guys for making you to wait,
It has been almost two weeks after my birthday
But I was really busy to blog okay.
Forgive me, but I really appreciate my good old friends who remembered my birthday,
Despite our disperse location around the globe,
But I guess real friendship grows through distance.
Here are some of the awesome cards and greetings I have received.

 Greeting card from Perth, Australia
Thanks Leon Hahahahahaha,
Ok I mean Leon Ha, for posting over this awesome card
And your very neatly computer-like writing never changed
I miss high school, really.

Another one flew from Auckland, New Zealand
Thanks for remembering my big day, Miss Esther
I miss my high school with you too
But I don't really much distant in between you and me now
Skype is the cheapest mode we can get in touch now
=D

Le favorite time - The drinking session
I have to thank all my buddies who sponsored me two towers of Hoeegarden
A premium Belgium wheat beer which is really really smooth
I was even happier when YYC went high
*He insisted he didn't drunk the next day
but....
The picture speaks a thousand words"

Happy 20th to me
I wasn't trying to promote BERSIH but my bro Andrew loves mango
So it was just coincidence

I really hate to admit this but time flies. I have entered my third year in NYP and graduating soon. I have to say that this year is a tough year for me as I have been through a very challenging setback which has thrown me into a valley of deep despair, and I truly believe if my godmother wasn't there to guide me along I think I could have given up everything and lost my only faith in life. Indeed, when I regained myself from melancholy, I have achieved better in work and reached a further milestone that I never did before. Instead of crying over the spilled milk, I diverted my focus to my daily work which has turned out to be good. I am also glad that Fabian and few other besties approached me to console me and give me strength, I really appreciate that. Recently David came to me trying to apologize saying there might be a mistake, but somehow later he trying to persuade me not to worry, not to get disappointed. And what I find important after so many conversation is this line, sometimes I find it very meaningful and philosophic which worth a repeatable and detailed cerebration, but sometimes I think it is just a bullshit construction which he came across his mind at that instant -

"It's just like study, it doesn't mean that when
you are well prepared, you'll score good grades."

So have you decipher the underlying meaning behind the sentence? Was it saying that we don't need to work hard for what we are doing as we might not get the equally weight in return. But to simply relate it to my case, I read it as -

"It doesn't mean that if you're well prepared
for the interview, you'll succeed."

No matter what it is, just keep my fingers-crossed and pray. I can rely on nobody but myself and God. Occasionally my mum will still discuss about it but I will quickly switch to another topic, I don't want to get her in trouble again because of me. Now I hold the belief to not think about it frequently as it won't help, why worry over something you have no control with? Although sometimes I still hear people discussing it around my circle, I admit that I do feel uneasy but I know I have to live with it.

"Expect the least for surprise,
instead of expecting the most
and get disappointed in return."

Speaking of my mum, I think she has spoken to him. Although there is saying that "don't judge a book by its cover" but she can really tell a person on first sight. There was one day when we were discussing about the graduation night (the very early stage when we were in the midst of liaising with various hotels), she was trying to hint me something she felt not right about him. After a few rounds of verbally cat-catch-mouse game, I poured to her what I know. She was quite shocked that her guess was correct as what I've seen on her expression but she said she'll do something about it and talk to him later.

If you want me to describe what kind of lecturer my godmother is, or perhaps how a good lecturer should behave, here it is -

"A good lecturer won't just
impart the students with knowledge,
she wants to build good character too."

In the event you haven't watch the video I prepared for DPE Awards Ceremony. Here I uploaded the video to YouTube and I hope you enjoy it. Except for the fast changing photos and transitions (because my boss wanted the duration of photos to be as short as 2-3 seconds), do comment on the overall visual experience.

*P/S : Time flies and I start wondering my whereabouts after next year. I came across with some research and I find this really interesting.
